Grooving the “Milles et une nuits”, the musical remedy to the “pseudo-civilization-clash”…
Style : Electro-folk. Triping the Hop between Tehran and Brussels…
Born in Tehran during the Islamic revolution, Haleh Nasiri arrived in Belgium at the age of 8 years with his mother and sister. Small she was craled by the songs of Googoosh Haydeh and gradually began to chant. After studying graphic art and visual narration where she discovered among others the work of Marjane Satrapi, Haleh met Marc Van Eyck (Studio Pagol), where electro rhythms and melancholy tell us about roots and hopes …
“ I was touring with TOM BACK, my duo with the vituoso zarb player Reza Labani (from Teheran), when I met Haleh for the first time. We began to work a few weeks later on several tracks and I heared one of the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heared, even in my previous bands (a lot of!) … Two years later, we had twelve sensitive and sensible songs and a great desire : to play them on stage !” [Marc].
